Screenshot is a picture of the entire screen, it’s often used to share your screen with someone for troubleshooting. So, in this article, I’m going to explain some of the most common methods you can use to take a screenshot on your Android device.
1. Use Standard Method
The easiest way to take a screenshot on Android device is to use a standard method. However, not all Android devices support the standard method.
For this method, simultaneously press the Power button and the Volume down button until you see the screen dim for a moment, you may hear a shutter sound—this indicates that the screenshot has been taken.
The above method will not work on Samsung Galaxy S7 and earlier devices, you’ll need to hold the Power button and the Home button instead. This of course doesn’t work on Samsung Galaxy S8, because Samsung ditched the home button. So, on Galaxy S8, you’ll need to hold the Power button and the Volume down button instead. Thereafter, the process is the same. You’ll see the screen dim for a moment confirming that the screenshot has been taken.

2. Use System Shortcuts
Some Android phones feature a screen capture option from the power options menu.
For example, on the Sony Xperia Z5 you can press the Power button. From there, you can take screenshots.
3. Use a Third-Party Application
There are several apps available that you can use to take a screenshots on your Android device. These apps work very similarly as the stock method, but they offer some cool additional features too.
