Here’s the steps to create undeletable folder in Windows computer.

  1. Open Command Prompt. You can open it by heading to Start menu and type “cmd” (without the quotes) then hit ↵Enter key on your keyboard.
  2. Once Command Prompt opened, type in E: or any drive other than C: and hit ↵Enter key.

    You can’t create this kind of folder in C: drive because that drive is where Windows OS is installed.
  3. Next, type the below command and hit ↵Enter key.

    md con\
  4. After that, go to the drive in which you created that folder and you’ll see folder named Con get created.

Finally, try to delete that folder, and you’ll receive the error. No matter how much you try, you’ll never be able to delete that folder.

Steps to Delete Undeletable Folder

Actually, that folder can’t be deleted normally, but it can be deleted using Command Prompt again. If you want to delete that folder, then follow the simple steps given bellow.

  1. Open Command Prompt and type the drive in which you created that folder and hit ↵Enter key.

    For example, if you’ve created that folder in E: drive, then you should type E:.
  2. Next, type the below command and hit ↵Enter key:

    rd con\
  3. The above command should delete folder named Con. You can go back to that drive to check whether the folder is deleted, and you’ll not find that folder there because it should be deleted.
