Disable Read Receipts
This is the probably the easiest way to read a WhatsApp message without sender knowing. Unfortunately, disabling this, you won’t be able to see when they’ve read your messages as well. If it’s okay with you, then follow the steps below to disable this feature.
- Launch WhatsApp and tap on the 3 dots at the top-right corner, and then tap on Settings.
- In the Settings tab, navigate to Account > Privacy.
- In the Privacy, look for Read receipts option. By default, you’ll see a check mark next to it, just uncheck it to disable the Read receipts feature.
Turn Off Wi-Fi or Mobile Data
Perhaps you want to keep Read receipts enabled, but don’t want others to know that you have read their message, if so, here’s another simple trick.
When you receive a WhatsApp message, don’t open the app immediately, turn off Wi-Fi or Mobile data. This will make WhatsApp get offline and it’ll not be able to connect to its servers to tell the sender that you have read their message.
That’s it. By using any of these simple methods, you can easily read WhatsApp message without sender knowing. If you having any difficulties do not hesitate to ask through the comments below. If you found this post helpful, then share it to your friends.
